A two-page paper describing your presentation is due to the Graduate School by February 18, 2008, and winners will be notified on March 14. Twelve students or groups will be awarded $250. Groups will receive one award to be shared by the presenters. We hope that all award recipients will attend the Graduate Research Fair luncheon and be recognized. Family members are also encouraged to attend.
Guidelines for Monetary Awards
Please submit to the Graduate School a two-page, single-spaced, 12-point-font document, summarizing your research/project and addressing the following questions. Submissions are due February 18, 2008. Send as an email attachment to graduate_school@emich.edu.
1. What are your topic and goals for this research/project?
2. What were your procedures/methodology?
3. What were the outcomes/findings of your project/research?
4. How is your work unique? How does it contribute to your field of study?
5. What did/do you hope to accomplish? Is the research/project finished or ongoing?
Did the research/project achieve the goals you had anticipated?
6. What would you do differently were you to undertake this project/study again? What recommendations do you have for further study on this topic?
