GRF Student Participation - Nominations
Download Type

  • Students may either self-nominate or be nominated by a faculty member.

  • Nomination forms may be printed from the Graduate Research Fair Website or obtained from the Graduate School in 200 Boone Hall. Copies may also be available from academic departments.

  • The nomination form and a 50-150-word abstract are due on January 18, 2008 to the department head.

  • Information on the form MUST be accurate. It will be used in the event program, on the Website, and names will be printed on certificates and engraved on plaques. Therefore, be sure the student and faculty sponsor’s names are correct, and presentation title is the desired wording. The abstract will be edited before publication.

  • Be sure presentation equipment needs have been identified on the nomination form submitted in January. Presentation times and room locations are scheduled based upon requested equipment. Once a schedule has been set and student correspondence and print materials prepared, we cannot move a presentation at the last minute.

  • Students wishing to use a computer for PowerPoint MUST SUBMIT TO THE GRADUATE SCHOOL THEIR PRESENTATION ON DISK OR CD ROM BY Wednesday, March 19, 2008. A CD will be burned with the presentations for student presenters in each room. A graduate student will run the computer and overhead projection system. This will streamline the transition between presenters. If you do not make this deadline, you may use acetate overheads for your PowerPoint presentation, but you will not be allowed to insert disks into the computers provided in the room.

  • Please mark the nomination form with accurate schedule information (e.g., when you can present). The schedule, once set, can not be changed.
